Saying goodbye to the "Creativity Program" beta, TikTok’s new initiative aims to incentivize longer-form videos (over a minute) on the platform.

With viewership of videos over a minute long skyrocketing by 40% in the last six months, TikTok is putting its money where the eyeballs are.

Creators will now be rewarded based on factors like originality, watch time, search value, and audience engagement, ensuring that high-quality, captivating content gets its due.

TikTok finds itself in a fresh round of political turmoil as Congress once again threatens to ban the app in the U.S. if its Chinese parent company, ByteDance, doesn't sell off the popular platform.

While previous attempts to legislate a ban have fallen flat, President Joe Biden has signaled his willingness to sign such a bill should it cross his desk.

Undeterred, TikTok is rallying its users to #KeepTikTok, encouraging them to reach out to their representatives through an in-app banner.

Let's see how this plays out!
